Western Australian Parliament - Legislative Council

The Legislative Council of the Western Australian Parliament required two kiosks to deliver general information along with day to day “what’s on” information. The kiosks were to be positioned within the main foyer area and are accessed by tour groups and the general public. The kiosks connect to an online Content Management System (CMS) via a live high speed internet connection, downloading content as it is required.

JSA created all concepts and designs while providing a remote content management system to enable all content to be easily updated without accessing the kiosks individually.

The design phase of the project included a personal viewing of Parliament House and understanding the visitor experience firsthand. After studying the Parliament, JSA Digital designed an interface to reflect the content required to educate a range of demographics from seniors to children.

A browser based Content Management System (CMS) was developed as the solution to enable external content to be edited. The web based editing system was custom developed specifically for the Parliament of WA content needs.

The CMS enables document libraries, image galleries and a WYSIWYG editing interface.

JSA Digital also coordinated the delivery and install of the two kiosks.
