With the launch of the competition coinciding with International Teachers Day on the 27th October, a 6 week viral campaign was required to create a buzz in the education industry.
Working with the client and under brief JSA designed a competition that was viral in nature and encouraged teachers, principles, pupils and general community to vote for the QLD School of their choice to win a $30,000 staffroom makeover. The voting was managed through a central CMS with point weighting, email verification, student number verification and the final school tally being automatically generated through the CMS and presented to the client in CSV report form.
A survey was included in the voting process to ensure the client could capture valuable market research to be used when targeting future email campaigns. As an incentive, every voter who completed the survey received an extra point for their school of choice.
A unique viral element was built into the competition enabling schools to generate more points by referring the website to friends thus enabling the QTCU to increase its database and virally grow its brand presence.
JSA Digital was able to utilize its full range of digital multimedia solutions including, multimedia, internet development, e-business, e-marketing and CMS.
The competition drove a 400% increase in signups to QTCU e-newsletter and generated over 40,000 votes across 103 QLD schools. The competition attracted further positive media attention for QTCU directly resulting in an increase in membership numbers and a strong ROI.
